Review of Written musical
Last Wednesday, I went to go see the musical, “Foot Loose.” I really enjoyed this play for many reasons. I thought it was not boring and it got very live when the rap music was bumping in the background which made it different than all the other plays I have seen. I thought the people performing did an excellent job. Toni, was very good at his part with the singing. I was surprised he sang that much and have never really seen a guy sing in a musical besides broadway. At first I thought the story was hard to understand with all the singing, dancing, and loud background music but then it made sense when they talked about the 5 people that died. These 5 people died by listening to too loud of music which was a distraction and therefor the town banned loud music and dancing. They then met up as a town and decided weather or not third should be banned or not but Toni did not want this to stop his dancing and music career. I also wasn’t sure what he was trying to do with the Reverends daughter but then caught on to the fact that he actually like her in the end. The Reverend was already giving Toni a hard time about dancing to loud music but still liked his daughter. I thought the dancing was very good by everyone and must have taken a lot of practice and time to prepare for the scenes. I thought everything went well all together with the singing, dancing, and preparing all the members in the cast for this performance. I was very surprised how many students participated in the act. Overall, I thought the performance was great.
