Individual update due -- Post on your blog what you have been working on, how it's going, what else you need to do to improve your project -- 300 words. Prepare to present your ideas in class as well. Today in class Jasmine and I performed a practice run of our performance with lighting and blocking.  Unfortunately, Jasmine was not hear some of last week and the week before so we have not really been able to practice our lines as much as we had hoped for today.  We must memorize our lines for the actual performance next week because it is a crucial part.  I really liked how it was practice and could get used to expressing my voice.  At times I get a bit nervous when I say my lines because I feel like Im not playing the character.  We were also told that we had to speak louder because the guys doing the lighting and cues sometimes could not hear what we were saying.  I feel like our practice has been alright but todays practice performance picked us up ...

Group Proposal due: watch video, make a list of what works and what doesn't. Decide what you need t fix, add, change, polish, etc. Come up with a proposal of what you will work on between now and Jan 29 and include due dates for this work. 300 wds.  Jasmine and Jacob  After rewatching our short video we noticed there some parts that needed to be changed and added.  I should show more emotion.  When Ivan and Jasmine were dancing I was awkwardly standing there practically watching my mother dance with another man.  I shouldbe shocked, blown away watching this happen.  I felt the dancing was two close to my pount where I was watching them.  They should be more to the left while I peak through to say my monologue.  I also need to memorize my second monologue.  I feel it is too repititve and that Is why I get confused.  You may have noticed me repeating the line several times.  For Jasmine, at times it was hard to hear her throu...

In my presentation we combined the two stories, "Night Women" and "The Wall of Fire Rising."  We added the part of Guy jumping off the hot air balloon and Jasmine being astonished about what has just happened.  I play the role of Little Guy.  Playing little guys part I really see the point of view as the character.  It must be hard knowing that your father killed himself and later on finds out that his mother is a night women.  Little Guy lives in a tough world but has no choice.  His mother must be a night women because it requires not education.  Playing little guy had really made me think of love, support, and most importantly, protection.  Living in a life where your mom gets with other men is sad.  No other kid who is little guys age will ever see anything like what he is experiencing.  Little Guy has to go through a struggling, poor life living in a small apartment.
