Jasmine and I performed our final performance in front of both classes last Thursday.  Unfortunately, we had to redo our performance a couple times because i was not able to memorize a line in my monologue.  When performing on stage I felt I was nervous and did not know what to say.  I wanted to stick to the script and not improvise.  I overthought the line when I said my mom must be a night women for about a year.  The first draft of our final performance was not great.  Jasmine and I made some eye contact and we did not have the backup when I came home from school.  After performing multiple times I learned that as an actor you have to show emotion but not to rush your lines.  I am that type of person that says the lines fast.  I think our strength in the final performance was our eye contact and sticking to character.  After watching our video performance you could clearly see that Ivan and Jasmine were dancing and I was in shock but also confused when I saw my mother as a night women.  I felt I improved with expressing my voice and showing emotion throughout stage practicing.  In the video, at time times it was difficult to hear Jasmine's voice.  I really liked how Jasmine screamed in the beginning showing her emotion for Guy.  The lighting was good to besides when I spoke my second monologue.  I also liked how Jasmine and I showed that we care about each other lives.  After watching other groups, many did not make touching parts unlike Jasmine and I.  I felt this was important because night women cares so much about her son that she has to show her affection for him.  I also liked the sudden music when I make up and the lights turn red and then I see my mother.  I felt our strengths in the final performance were eye contact, props, memorizing lines, taking our time, and playing our characters.  Our weaknesses were, expressing our voice, sometimes showing emotion, and running through each others lines at times.  All in all, I felt Jasmine and I did well when we performed our final act.
