Poetry Performance
This week I performed my poem Fire and Ice by Robert Frost. We have had multiple times learning to memorize and create our own little performance out of this short poem. After performing my first final draft I realized that background music really made the performance 10 times better. when watching and hearing the sad background music added made it so much more dramatic and better. After all the feedback from my fellow classmates I realized that I must have more movement and possibly add background music that would fit into my performance. Emotion and voice also helped express the poem. After watching everyones performances many people didn't just memorize their lines by heart but turn the poem into and actual act by showing emotion that they would not normally show. Lighting also catches the eye very well. Lighting can help set the scene and performance. The performances that showed emotion and good use of background music and lighting defiantly were the best acts out of everyone else. All in all, it was fun acting out each of our poems and turning them into an actual talk or realistic performance.
