In the romantic and dramatic play Romeo and Juliet, I think of Friar Lawrence as a peacemaker. Some people may not agree with me and how Friar Lawrence is a peacemaker but I truly believe he has made things better in this play throughout the story.  Friar Lawrence had many examples how he created peace instead of disagreeing with him creating peace.  For example, when Friar Lawrence heard about Romeo and Juliet he was thinking about what could happen.  To me, Friar Lawrence looks out for Romeo.  Romeo just got over his relationship with Rosaline and has already moved past her and now onto Juliet.  I feel he is emotional and needs to find someone who will love him back.  Friar Lawrence just wants Romeo to be safe and loved.  The last thing he wants to see his Romeo very upset over his love life.  Love is not easy for anyone and can be very hard getting over that one person you love who no longer loves you back.  Once you find that special girl there is no holding back.  You must go and have no one stop you, not even your family members cause it is your life and your future not there's.  Just like in the play Romeo has no found the love of his life Juliet.  They have barely known each other but this is love at first sight.  You know you are in love when you have catch a glimpse of there eyes when they do at the same time too.  Friar Lawrence did say that salt water tears had not dried yet and this is about Romeo's new love, Juliet.  Friar Lawrence does have the right to be a little bit suspicious of Romeo and Juliet being together.  He did not want to ruin this relationship cause he new it would be a game changer for not only him but also the Capulet's and Montague's.  He said he wanted to "Turn the households."  This is talking about how Friar Lawrence hopes this will change both the sides and have them come together and unite and form one big group of people.  Both families had yet to know about this.  The only person that knew about this was Friar Lawrence and he was the one trying ti set this all up.  All Friar Lawrence wanted was for both sides to come together and eventually they did come together.  Unfortunately, the bad part about this was that both Romeo and Juliet ended up killing themselves cause of a stupid poison.  Both families were shocked and were devastated.  This made Friar Lawrence regret himself.  All he wanted to do was to create peace not death.  In the end, both families did come together to support each other but the people will never be the same without Romeo or Juliet.  All in all, I am not sure about everyone else but to me I think of Friar Lawrence as a peacemaker even though  both Romeo and Juliet ended up dying.
