Act 1 Quiz- Jacob Lebowitz
1. I feel as if though Romeo and Juliet do not really fall in love. I myself do believe in love at first sight but in the story I am not sure if this was really love at first. I think Romeo was desperate for a girl so whoever he saw that night would be the one for him and which happened to be Juliet part of Montague. I think Romeo wanted to be with someone even if it was not Juliet. Romeo really wanted to be loved. Romeo at first thought he could never get someone better than Rosaline. The whole time he had been trying to find a person to replace Rosaline with Juliet.
2. In class we are watching the film Romeo and Juliet. The director showed the "Love at first sight from Romeo and Juliet." The director shows this love when Romeo is taking a deep breath and had to clear his mind from everything. At this point, Romeo had no idea who Juliet was. All of a sudden Romeo sees a bright fish tank and on the other side you could see Juliet. You could tell in the film that both these two were meant to be. They constantly stared at each other for the rest of the night. They both could not believe there eyes almost as if it was meant to happen. Later on Romeo and Juliet go in the elevator and start making out. They literally met less than an hour ago and they are already with each other which showed true love. Yes this was very successful.
3. If I was Juliet I would tell my parents about Romeo who is a Montague. I would also show true love to Romeo and that we are meant to be together. She dresses and seems older than she really is. A 13 year old does not know what true love is but in the play she showed Romeo that she was the one for him. She tried hiding from her family but eventually the Nurse saw them get out of the elevator which was awkward for both of them. She should stand up for herself and tell her parents that Count Paris is not the right man for her and that Romeo is.
